Kent Test Synonym Questions

Synonym questions present a target word and ask the child to choose the option closest in meaning. They are a quick-fire test of vocabulary depth, with little room for technique to compensate. A child who consistently scores well on synonyms typically has a working vocabulary of 8,000 words or more by the start of Year 6.
