Kent Test Comprehension Main Idea Questions

Main idea questions ask the child to identify the central point of a passage or paragraph. They reward the ability to distil — to see past supporting details and identify what the writer is most concerned with. Children who confuse 'most interesting detail' with 'main idea' often go wrong here.
