Kent Test Comprehension Vocabulary Questions

Vocabulary-in-context questions present a word from the passage and ask the child to choose the meaning that best fits the way the word is used. The trick is that the dictionary definition is often not the right answer — context shifts meaning, and children who fall back on a memorised definition lose marks they didn't need to.
