11+ Area & Perimeter

Area and perimeter questions appear in every 11+ Maths paper. They test formula recall, careful unit handling, and — for compound shapes — the ability to break a complicated outline into simpler parts. Children who confuse the two formulas (or the two units) lose marks they have all the maths to earn.
